Introduction to works: My inspiration comes from mould food and withered plants. Is mould food disgusting? Is withered plant ugly? Or perhaps most people think they are. But I don’t think so.

Relation between beauty and ugliness and their stands are not so obvious. Perhaps from another perspective, feelings and experience shall be different.

Mould is a process of decomposition. We all know it. During food mould, there are lots of surprising texture and color. I am obsessed with mould. Therefore, I have created a small environment to observe food mould. When I started to understand the texture of mould, I created the series of works to express my praise for it.
