Description

To develop the project, a specific manufacturing sector was taken as a starting point. Leather tanning was chosen for this purpose, also known as production of leather goods such as backpacks and wallets.

The most important potential was the technique consisting of hardening leather through applying boiling water. The effect generated by this process is the contraction of leather collagen fibers, which makes the material rigid. The potential from this productive sector was the randomness of the contractions. The effect achieved by means of boiling water is, movement and natural patina.

Finally, the lamp shows two key texture aspects, and both inner and outer have their variations intensified by contrast.
