Description

Biogusto is a line of 100% natural biodegradable tableware based on rice husk. The rice husk is an industrial waste from the rice industry, which is one of the largest food supplier of the world because of the huge importance of the cereal as a basic food suply in many countries. Chile produces 25.400 tons of waste (rice husk) per year, which are thrown away in vacant lots and never taken care of. Biogusto contributes to protecting the environment and addressing the design from "the cradle (industrial waste) to cradle" (biodegradable). This is a work in process, and aims to reach different results taking rice husk as raw material.
